Serves: 4 people
Ingredients:
2 turnips, sliced
2 tbsp oil
1 1/2 tsp pink Himalayan sea salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
2 avocados
1 red onion, chopped
1/2 jalapeno, diced
2 tomatoes, chopped
1 lime, juice only
Coriander, chopped
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 180℃.
Put the turnip slices in a bowl with the oil, garlic powder, paprika and 1/2 tsp of salt. Toss until covered.
Place the turnip slices on a lined baking tray and bake until they begin to brown.
In the meantime, prepare your guacamole by putting the avocado flesh in a bowl and mashing it with a fork.
Add the onion, jalapeno, tomatoes, lime, coriander and 1 tsp of salt. Mix well.
Leave for 15 minutes so the flavours can mingle.
Serve with your cooled turnip chips.
Storage tips
When they’re fully cool, put the chips in an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 2 days. Put the homemade guacamole in a separate airtight container and keep it in the fridge for up to 2 days.
